Editorial Policy
This policy describes how we decide what to publish, how we check it, and how we fix it when it is wrong.
Who writes
Each article names its author and shows the author’s role. We do not attribute work to people with qualifications or experience that we cannot document, and we do not write first-person accounts of tests or operation that did not happen.
What counts as evidence
- The manufacturer’s own specification sheets, operator manuals and brochures.
- Other official technical documents, such as standards bodies’ definitions.
- Reputable industry publications and established technical references.
- Dealer documentation, when nothing above is available.
Search snippets, unsourced websites and general memory are not evidence for a technical value.
Review and dates
Each article shows its publication date and, where a review has taken place, the date of that review. Machine pages show when their specifications were last checked. We update the dates only after a real review, not after cosmetic edits.
Corrections
When we find an error we correct it and, for material changes, say what changed. Readers can report errors through the contact form.
Advertising and commercial relationships
We label any sponsored or commercial content. Commercial relationships do not change the specification data on a machine page.
