BOMAG is a German manufacturer of compaction equipment, owned since 2005 by the French construction group FAYAT. Its yellow rollers are a fixture of road projects worldwide.

History

Founded in 1957 in Boppard on the Rhine, BOMAG made its name with the BW 60 double-drum vibratory roller and expanded into single-drum soil compactors, tandem asphalt rollers, landfill compactors and stabilisers. In recent years it has added asphalt pavers and cold milling machines.

What BOMAG is known for

  • Single-drum rollers like the BW 213 D-5.
  • Compaction measurement, with intelligent compaction systems (BCM, Variocontrol) that adjust vibration automatically.
