Genie is a leading brand of aerial work platforms, part of the Terex Corporation since 2002. Its blue machines are standard equipment in rental fleets around the world.
Genie was founded near Seattle in 1966 by Bud Bushnell, whose first product, the "Genie Hoist", was a portable pneumatic material lift. The company introduced its first aerial work platforms in the 1980s, and its TZ trailer booms, Z articulating booms and GS scissor lifts became rental industry staples.
