JLG Industries is an American manufacturer of mobile elevating work platforms and telehandlers, owned since 2006 by Oshkosh Corporation.
History
John L. Grove, who had earlier co-founded Grove cranes, started JLG in 1969 after witnessing an accident in which two workers died when a scaffold collapsed. His goal was a safer way to work at height. JLG's first product was a self-propelled aerial work platform, and the company grew into one of the two dominant global brands in access equipment (alongside Genie).
