Massey Ferguson was formed in 1953 from the merger of Canadian manufacturer Massey-Harris and Harry Ferguson's company. Harry Ferguson invented the three-point linkage with draft control, which transformed tractors into versatile tool carriers and is still used on virtually every tractor today. Classic models like the MF 35 and MF 135 became the most common tractors in many countries.
Massey Ferguson has been part of AGCO since 1994. Most of its larger tractors are built in Beauvais, France.
