Metso was formed in 1999 from the merger of Finnish engineering companies Valmet and Rauma, whose crushing businesses go back much further (including Nordberg in the USA). In 2020 Metso merged its minerals business with Outotec, and the combined company took back the Metso name in 2023.
Its Finnish predecessor introduced the Lokotrack, one of the first fully mobile, tracked crushing plants, in 1985.
Lokotrack mobile jaw, cone and impact crushers such as the LT106, LT1213S and LT220D, plus stationary crushers, screens, grinding mills and wear parts.
