Skid steer for snow removal: wheels or tracks?

For clearing car parks and roads, most contractors prefer wheeled skid steers with good winter tyres or chains: they are faster, cheaper to run and do not damage asphalt. Tracked CTLs can work well in deep snow and on soft surfaces, but rubber tracks wear fast on bare asphalt and can be slippery on ice.

Popular attachments: snow pushers with rubber edges, angle blades, snow blowers (need high flow) and sweepers.
