Overview
The Volvo A40G is one of the best-selling articulated haulers in the world. Volvo has been building ADTs since 1966, and the 40-tonne class remains its core.
Features
Volvo's automatic traction control engages the differential locks and drive axles as needed, so the operator does not have to anticipate slippery conditions. The hydro-mechanical front suspension gives a smooth ride, and Volvo's engine brake and retarder control speed on descents. On-board weighing and Volvo's Haul Assist system help optimise loads.
Who it suits
Large earthmoving contractors and quarries that need reliable, high-uptime haulage in difficult ground.
