Overview
Introduced in 1960, the 966 has gone through generations from the 966A to the 966M and today's 966. It is a fixture of quarries, yards and large construction sites.
XE version
The 966 XE uses a continuously variable power-split transmission that Cat says cuts fuel consumption significantly versus conventional torque-converter drive.
