Bobcat T770
The large-frame CTL that set the standard
The Bobcat T770 was the flagship of Bobcat’s M-Series track loaders: vertical lift, 92 hp and a 3,475 lb rated capacity made it a heavy-duty favourite.
+Strengths
- High lift capacity and strong pushing power
- Huge attachment ecosystem
- Plenty of used machines and parts
−Watch-outs
- Replaced by the R-Series T76 / T86
- Track and undercarriage costs are high on a heavy machine
Overview
The Bobcat T770 was the largest vertical-lift track loader in Bobcat's M-Series and one of the most popular large CTLs of the last decade. It has been succeeded by R-Series models, but used T770s remain in strong demand.
Strengths
The T770's vertical lift arms give high capacity at full height, and the 92 hp engine provides enough power for high-flow attachments like forestry mulchers and cold planers (with the high-flow option). The pressurised cab and optional joystick controls made long days comfortable.
Buying used
Inspect the rubber tracks, idlers and rollers, check for undercarriage frame cracks, look at the DPF service history and test all auxiliary functions.
