- Easy to transport
- Low fuel consumption
−Watch-outs
- Less lifting capacity than 20-tonne machines
Overview
The Cat 313 sits between Caterpillar's mini excavators and the core Cat 320. It is popular with utility contractors and municipalities who need more reach and depth than a midi excavator but want to stay below the weight where transport becomes expensive.
Technology
Like the larger Next Gen machines, the 313 can be equipped with Cat Grade with 2D, E-fence to keep the front end away from traffic or overhead lines, and Payload weighing. A GC version offers a simpler, lower-priced specification.
Who it suits
Utility trenching, drainage, road maintenance and small site preparation.
